Nancy graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Finance and continued her education at the University of Alabama earning a master's degree in Tax Accounting. Nancy spent her professional career educating others as an accounting instructor for Auburn University, Faulkner State Community College, and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Nancy was an avid sports fan - especially if Alabama and Auburn were playing. Nancy's main focus was always on her children and grandchildren. Her other passion was genealogy. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Nancy Higdon Memorial Scholarship through the OTC Foundation. Visitation and services will be at Pine Crest Funeral Home December 2nd from 1pm till service time at 2pm followed by a graveside service at Pine Crest Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Albert Bonebrake and Kristen Heydt, NPA, their staff, the Hulston Cancer Center and CoxHealth Systems for nine years of outstanding care.
