She was preceded by her husband, Robert Herndon Radcliff, Jr.; her sister, Helen Sibley Greer Mooney; her son, Robert Herndon Radcliff, III and her grandson, Robert Radcliff Lyons. Dottie Gene attended Murphy High School and Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. She was a member of Christ Church Cathedral. FAMILY meant everything to “Idene” (as most people knew her today). She was the “ROCK” of the family. Her home was “the Place” ! Everyone loved to gather there. “Idene” was the most unassuming, beautiful, gracious, lovely “SOUTHERN LADY”, and will be missed by many. On Saturday, May 20, 2017, a visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. and a Celebration Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, 115 S. Conception St., Mobile, AL. We want to take this opportunity to thank Idene’s devoted caretakers. Memorials may be made to Christ Church Cathedral, 115 S. Conception St., Mobile, AL 36602 of your favorite charity.
